A crystal clear free form swimming pool with natural rock formations lies between the gardens and the sea.
Poppies restaurant is now firmly established as the leading restaurant on the island, where you can dine under the stars overlooking the beach, an open sided thatched sala or in the magnificent Ayuthaya style teak pavilion on either side of the pool.
Poppies, Samui is owned and managed by an established team of long serving professionals many of whom have been employed since the opening. The average length of service for our 75 employees is over 8 years!
A few points to ponder when deliberating on your choice of hotel:
New hotels, with styles both opulent and minimalist, hip and cool with oversized suites, private pools, private gardens, private jacuzzis, private butlers, nouvelle cuisine and correspondingly high prices will come and go but Poppies, with none of the foregoing, will go on and on. Poppies is quite simply a haven of comfort, excellent food, personal service for couples (children are welcome) at affordable prices where 35% of the guests are 'valued' repeaters.
Consider the following:
- We serve a freshly cooked breakfast until midday - so get up at your leisure take a walk or have a swim followed by a delicious breakfast.
- We do not serve buffets at any time.
- If your cottage is not required on the day of your departure, you can keep it until you leave at no charge.
- If your cottage is required and we have another available, we can assign it to you until your departure time.
- If we are completely full, we ask you to check out at midday and use our air-conditioned lounge with a shower - you can continue to use all Poppies facilities and your bags will be kept in a secure place.
- We offer high speed broadband internet access in all cottages and public areas and the use of computers in our air-conditioned internet room - free of charge.
- Our housekeepers will fully service your cottage twice a day - morning and early evening
- We believe in a common sense and fair approach to the use of beach & pool beds which means reserving them is not permitted - we have more than enough for everybody so 'first come, first served'.
- We serve free flow chilled drinking water in the restaurant and on the beach - free of charge.
- All guests receive a welcome fruit cocktail and a cold towel on arrival.
- In addition to fresh flowers on the day of arrival all guests receive a daily newspaper and a basket of fruits in season.
- We offer comprehensive honeymoon, birthday, and 'major anniversary' amenities - free of charge
